Spacegate's core activities, whether they are locally focused, continentally focused, or globally focused include master planning of the car park, designing, offering consultations, liaison with Local Authorities and getting all the necessary approvals, R&D with technology partners, manufacturing and sales and marketing of their APS, installing and then maintaining the car parks.

The Sales Cycle

The R&D is currently happening within USA, Switzerland, Germany and Dubai. Manufacturing is currently done in USA and Germany, but plans are in place to move manufacturing closer to clients in countries like India, Hungary, and Turkey. Sales and marketing offices by way of JV partners and representatives around the world.

The sales cycle is then conducted with the joint involvement of the senior marketing team in Dubai and London along with the local agent’s team. Hence, the configuration is also global.

Client Connectivity

Connectedness with the client i.e. coordination in the traditional sense and to sharing joint development of know-how. As in the previous framework, the connectedness on a scale of loose to tight is definitely as high as it gets for Spacegate, given that there is a high degree of knowledge and best practices sharing. The team in Dubai has to sign off on every proposal going out to clients regardless of where they are in the world. This ensures consistency in the message that is put out to the market about Spacegate’s parking solutions.

Localized Solution to a Global Requirement

Spacegate is sufficiently localized to adapt its products, (i.e. the Spacegate APS) to local environments. The building codes in Emirates – of AbuDhabi are different from those in India, Europe or KSA, but they have the same Spacegate’s automated system which is part of the solution offered for the project. The system or technology installed is adapted to conform to local requirements.
